due west. It is easier to launch from the beach if the winds are at least 15.
State park officers do not want us clambering over the dunes. Park in the day
use parking lot and walk the short distance to this grassy dune section.
Beach launching requires the ability to kite the wing while walking toward the
dune lift zone. Some do this walking backwards, ready to grab the lift.
