Looking back to the small cliff, I am now on the elevator to the top. The cliffs here are sheer and about 250 feet high. There is no apparent exit from the beach below. Along the crest of the ridge there are several clearings which may in fact be deep with salal, but there is no need for bailouts, as the lift here is better than at any coastal site I have flown: Nothing but up.
