Getting close to 1000 feet, this view shows the best lift zone you will experience on a SW 10 day. Coming back is slow, but if you go all the way to 1200' or 1500' or whatever is availble, then the trip back is very high and making a top-landing at Ecola is no problem. Is this a nifty site, or what? Take off from a launch that is just one minute's walk from the car, fly to the summit of Tillamook Head (1200'), soar the cliffs of Bird Point, Indian Point, Ecola, then land at Ecola or keep going and land in Cannon Beach and get an ice-cream cone at Osbornes, where a friend can meet you for coffee. Just an idea for something different to do on a southwest day.
