www.aviationweather.gov This
is the site were you can get the same information as from a weather briefer
(1-800-WX-BRIEF). You do need to know what you are seeing though, it gets
very technical. In the side bar look for standard briefing and play around
on that pages. Sooner or later things will start to make sense.
www.airnav.com Here
you can enter identifiers or names of airports (like kpdx for Portland
International or The Dalles if you want to check out the weather for Cliffside
for instance). On the airport information page you can find phone numbers
of recorded real time weather next to WX AWOS/ASOS (automated weather observing
system/automated surface observing system).
www.weatherbug.com This
will let you have a program installed on your computer which will act
as a small 24 hour weather station.
