Willamette Valley flying sites are Peterson
Butte, near Lebanon, and Chehalem Ridge,
near Newberg. Kutch is a site west
of Yamhill.
Peterson Butte is a USHGA regulated site that requires a USHGA membership
card to be carried on site. It is open only part of the year, Nov. 1 to
May 31, and is on private land. Hang glider pilots use the site as well
as radio controlled glider clubs.
Chehalem is also on private land, and so you must check
with a local pilot before flying here to learn the landing zones and
launch areas. Each has their own problems.
